
It seems like Liam Gallagher has got his sights set on being the next Rocky.
He said: ‘If he wants a scrap I’d say, “F*** yeah, come on”!’The Don’t Look Back in Anger singer challenged Anthony Joshua to a fight at the GQ Awards on Tuesday.
Liam might be in for more than a scrap with the World Heavyweight Champion but it seems Anthony isn’t so keen.
‘Liam’s a legend, so I don’t wanna face him out of respect,’ he admitted, adding: ‘You can tell what type of character he is – very up, no fear, but I got too much respect for him.’
Both men won awards at the star-studded event and Anthony offered up another well-dressed celebrity for Liam to fight – in the shape of Idris Elba.
He joked: ‘If he wants to have a move around I can line him up with Idris.’
It seems the Rock ‘n’ Roll Star of the Year was more likely to give Anthony a hug in the end as he couldn’t stop gushing about the boxer, saying: ‘He’s the main man…I’m a big fan of his.’
This is not the first time that Liam has kicked off this week, having launched a foul-mouthed rant against Leeds festival on Tuesday.
However, the Gallagher brother wasn’t the only one who caused controversy at the awards.
