Bievenido “Sniper Ben Fairtex” Ligas of Caloocan City is now the new Philippine flyweight champion after he won by a unanimous decision over Alphoe Dagayloan of Dipolog City last Feb. 13 at the 2nd Floor, Mega Mart Burgos Poblacion Norte in Paniqui, Tarlac.
All the three judges scored 115-113.
The 22-year-old Ligas now has 13 wins against one loss and one draw while Dagayloan suffered his fourth setback with 14 wins and six draw.
Meanwhile, super featherweight Charly “King’s Warrior” Suarez of Davao del Norte scored a unanimous decision over Jon Jon Estrada of Pasay City.
The 32-year-old Suarez, who is also a member of the Philippine amateur boxing team, remained undefeated with five straight wins with four knockouts.
The first bubble boxing event for 2021 in the Philippines was promoted by Cucuy Elorde of UKC Pro Boxing Edition.
