Jorge “Golden Boy” Linares (42-3, 27 KO’S), the WBC Diamond Champion, fights British Luke Campbell (17-1, 14 KO’S) this Saturday, at the Los Angeles Forum, California, and it’ll be broadcast live on HBO.
Linares, a triple division champion from Barinas, Venezuela, has fought in Japan and the UK. However, he’ll be fighting in the United States for the first time in three years, and just a mere six months following his second victory over Brit Anthony “Million Dollar” Crolla in his hometown of Manchester, England.
Campbell, a former WBC Silver lightweight champion and gold medal winner at the 2012 London Olympics, has defeated five strong contenders, including Darleys Perez, Derry Matthews, and Argenis Méndez.
Linares, showing his great physical condition and commitment, tipped 137 pounds, seven days before the fight.
