Linares vs Campbell, Parker vs Fury, more: Boxing fight times and TV schedule for September 19-23

Plenty of world titles are on the line this week in boxing.

FS1, 10:00 pm ET, Mario Barrios vs Naim Nelson, Earl Newman vs Paul Parker. Barrios is an undefeated prospect who was super interesting as a tall 130-pound fighter, but is a little less promising as a tall 140-pound fighter. He didn’t even try being a tall 135-pound fighter. Nelson has lost three of his last four.

Friday, September 22

ESPN, 10:00 pm ET, Oscar Valdez vs Genesis Servania, Gilberto Ramirez vs Jesse Hart. Two world titles on the line in this one, as Valdez defends the WBO featherweight title, and Ramirez defends the WBO super middleweight title. Neither fight is anything incredible on paper, but neither is a turd, either, so it’s a really solid Friday night card on ESPN, all things considered. BLH will have live coverage.

Saturday, September 23

PPV, 3:00 pm ET, Joseph Parker vs Hughie Fury. Parker defends the WBO heavyweight title on the road in the UK against Fury, this fight having been postponed from earlier this year, when Fury had to withdraw due to injury. It’s an intriguing matchup and one that feels like someone will be “exposed” when all is said and done. This isn’t currently listed on my pay-per-view channel, but I expect it will wind up there. BLH will have live coverage.

HBO, 10:00 pm ET, Jorge Linares vs Luke Campbell, Antonio Orozco vs Roberto Ortiz. Linares has wound up an HBO headliner after all. He’ll look to continue his strong run at 135 with a WBA title defense against Campbell, an Olympic gold medalist in 2012 who did lose a fight in 2015, but has rebounded very well and has a lot of talent. Orozco-Ortiz is not a great co-feature, but HBO can’t be choosers at this point. BLH will have live coverage.
