Unbeaten super lightweight contender Sergey Lipinets (10-0, 8 KOs) scored a seventh round TKO over Walter Castillo (26-4-1, 19 KOs) on Friday night at the Horseshoe Tunica Hotel & Casino in Tunica, Mississippi. Lipinets was cut over the left eye in round four, but he rocked Castillo in round seven and got stoppage with a barrage of punches. Time was 2:45.
2012 Olympic Silver medalist Tugstsogt Nyambayar (6-0, 6 KOs) annihilated Rafael “Dynamite” Vazquez (16-3, 13 KOs) in the first round of a featherweight fight. Nyambayar dropped Vazquez three times. The bout lasted 84 seconds.
It looked like it would be a short fight when unbeaten bantamweight prospect David Perez (7-0, 3 KOs) dropped Adan Ortiz (9-2, 8 KOs) in round one. Ortiz, however, survived the round and went the full six round distance. Perez won 60-53, 59-54, 58-55.
