Mock has now won eleven straight
More than 26 years after his professional debut, Lolenga Mock has still got it. The 45-year-old Dane extended his winning streak to eleven tonight with a decision over former interim middleweight champ Dmitrii Chudinov.
In what was reportedly a competitive bout throughout, Mock (42-14-1, 13 KO) took control in the latter half of the fight. Chudinov (20-2-2, 13 KO) had issues with his mouthpiece, ultimately losing a point after losing it a fourth time. It didn’t wind up making a difference, however, as Mock won on scores of 99-90, 96-93, and 96-93.
Chudinov isn’t as accomplished as his brother, but beating him is still quite a feat for Mock, who has just one stoppage loss (courtesy of David Haye fifteen years ago) and is on a solid run that includes a win over Luke Blackledge last year. Always nice to see someone who’s paid his dues for so long put together a quality streak.
