It has been reported in several reliable sources that former world champion Vasiliy Lomachenko – who last Saturday lost to Teófimo López – had surgery on his right shoulder last Monday to repair his upper labrum.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles, California.
Lomachenko experienced shoulder discomfort during preparation for his match against Lopez.
Even right before the fight, Loma was even given an injection to relieve pain.
Lomachenko had surgery on his right shoulder for the first time in May of 2018, right after his win over former Venezuelan champion Jorge Linares in New York.
Was this recurring painful shoulder injury the real reason why Loma lost to Teófimo?
FightnewsASIA wishes Loma a full and speedy recovery.
