Who’s afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? Tough and intelligent fighter Vanesa Taborda from Argentina, confronts the most formidable challenge of her career against very hard hitting WBC super flyweight champion Zulina “La Loba” Munoz, on Saturday night.
The fight/ pitched battle, is at Gimnasio Jose Neri Santos, in Cuidad Juarez.
Vanesa’s record of 8-6-3, with no KO’s, appears patchy if compared to Zulina’s, which is 46-1-2, with 27 KO’s. Vanesa’s main qualification, is a controversial loss and then a draw with superlative WBC international super flyweight champion Mariana “Barby” Juarez.
At the weekly WBC press conference in Mexico, Vanesa who’s in career best shape says she’s been training for more than three months. She stressed she’s going to try and be more intelligent than Zulina. But acknowledged that she’s facing a great champion and a great fighter.
Zulina who arrived a tad late held back by traffic snarl ups, accompanied by her Chief Trainer Mauro Ayala, said she’s totally prepared and looking forward to the ninth successful defence of her green and gold belt.
