Long outweighs Browne by 54 pounds

Former WBA Heavyweight world champion Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne tipped the scales at 116.4kg / 256lbs with Julius “Towering Inferno” Long coming in at 141kg / 310lbs. for Friday’s clash at the Gold Coast Convention Centre, Qld, Australia.

Julius Long: “I took the last fight with Lucas Browne on three days notice. I gave him hell. What’s he think I’m going to do with a full preparation? I’m going to knock him the f___ out.”Lucas Browne: “I’m happy to come in in such good shape. I don’t like to give predictions for fights but I like to end them by knockout. This fight is no different. I’m happy with my camp, everything has gone well and I’m looking forward to putting on a show.”

Julius Long: “I can’t wait to shut Lucas Browne up. I’m ready to fight right now. I’m going to bust him up.”

The pair have previously fought in 2015 with Browne stopping Long in 9 rounds. The 7’1 Long is coming off perhaps the best win of his career with a points victory over Bowie Tupou.

The bout will be contested over 8 rounds and streamed through epicentre.tv
