Lorenz Larkin vs. Paul Daley set for Bellator 183

Lorenz Larkin has a date and an opponent for his second Bellator bout.

The former UFC welterweight contender has been scheduled to face fellow veteran striker Paul Daley at Bellator 183 in San Jose, Calif. The news was first reported by The Telegraph on Monday and was then later confirmed by MMA Fighting.

Larkin is coming off a unanimous decision loss to 170-pound Bellator champion Douglas Limaback at Bellator NYC in June. The title fight loss marked Larkin’s debut in the promotion. Prior to that, “The Monsoon” was on a two-fight win streak with UFC wins over Neil Magny and Jorge Masvidal. The 30-year-old Larkin is 18-6 as a professional fighter.

Meanwhile, Daley is also coming off a loss, as he was submitted by Rory MacDonald back in May in the main event of Bellator 179. “Semtex” is currently 7-2 in his last nine outings, and sports a professional fighting record of 39-14-2.

Bellator 183 is set to go down at the SAP Center on Sept. 23. Former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson is scheduled to face Patricky Freire in the main event on the card, while Roy Nelson is set to make his promotional debut against Javy Ayala in the co-main event.
