The World Boxing Council super bantamweight champion, Hugo Ruiz, is impatiently counting down the days to defend his crown on September 16th in Osaka, Japan, against Japanese challenger, Hozumi Hasegawa.
In defense number one of his WBC crown, ‘Cuatito’ Ruiz is determined to provide Mexican boxing a great victory boost in Japan, bolstering His February revenge against Julio Ceja, who he knocked out in the first round at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
For now, the champion remains in intensive training in Guadalajara, Jalisco, refining and defining his excellent skills.
“We are working hard to get the very best in our first defense. My desire is to give Mexican boxing a great victory and show why we are world champions.
” We will indeed leave the ring that night with arm raised,” promised the Mexican puncher, who has won 32 fights by KO in 36 wins.
