Yvan Mendy and Luke Campbell will meet in a WBC eliminator rematch on September 22, part of the Joshua-Povetkin card at Wembley Stadium. The card will air on Sky Box Office in the United Kingdom, and the DAZN streaming service in the United States.

Mendy (40-4-1, 19 KO) scored a surprise win over Campbell (18-2, 15 KO) back in 2015, handing the former Olympic gold medalist his first pro loss by decision in London. Since then, Campbell has gone 6-1, his only loss a competitive defeat against Jorge Linares in September 2017. He’s improved his stock and bounced back nicely.

Mendy, meanwhile, has won seven straight, but has done so entirely at home in France, against marginal opposition, and has fallen off the radar for many because he’s been out of the spotlight on this winning streak.

Campbell has recently hooked up with new trainer Shane McGuigan, and will look to avenge his first pro defeat and put himself up for a shot at the title currently held by Mikey Garcia, who is looking to move up to 147 pounds and challenge Errol Spence Jr in his next fight.
