LUMACAD VS. PAEL FOR VACANT ABF SUPER BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE IN DAVAO CITY MAY 12


DAVAO CITY — Undefeated Ryan “The Fire Fist” Lumacad of MP Highland Gym will fight Renoel Pael of Wacky Salud Gym for the vacant Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) super bantamweight title on May 12 at the Waterfront Insular Hotel Pavillion here.
ABF president Naris Singwancha from Thailand is arriving to supervise the championship fight which is part of the “Davao Boxing Showdown” boxing presentation by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) in connection with the 3rd Philippine Boxing Convention.
The 25-year old Lumacad, current Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) super bantamweight champion is still undefeated with 12 wins, seven knockouts and three draws.
Pael, 26, also PBF super flyweight king is toting 21 wins with five losses and one draw.
“Magandang laban ito dahil pareho silang magaling,” said promoter Brico Santig.
Lumacad previously settled a split draw with Go Onaga in Okinawa, Japan last January 8. The native of General Santos City won the PBF super bantamweight title by knocking out Juan Purisima in the second round last November 27 in Mandaluyong City.
Pael, a native of Leyte captured the vacant PBF super flyweight crown via a 4th round TKO win over Rogen Flores last September 11, 2016 in Claver, Surigao del Norte.
Pael then stopped Jherom Tuyor last December 17 in Iligan City before bowing to unbeaten Andrew Moloney by a unanimous decision last Feb. 3 in Australia.
