“MADE IN MEXICO” THE IMPORTANCE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF MEXICAN BOXING IN THE WORLD

The World Boxing Council joins the “Made in Mexico” campaign,  as a sign of unity, solidarity  and greatness in sport, highlighting the vital underlying importance of  pugilism to the Mexican people.

Mexico has applauded  170 world champions who have exemplarily represented the country.  Mexican fighters have caught the eye of the World, earning respect as well as admiration, because of their unquenchable will ato win and valiant courage  that they invariably and perpetually show in each and every match.

Just in January, more than 30 Mexican fighters climbed up into different rings in the United States, emphasizing the importance of this sport  which  traverses all borders, as shown by the following list:

Tricolor boxing stands shoulder to shoulder with the Federal Government’s re-launch of the “Made in Mexico” campaign.

“It gives me great joy that the fighters, who always put the name of the country so high, start to raise their voices. What is done in Mexico has always possessed the finest quality. This is not a political confrontation with anyone. We just want to make evident the greatness of national boxing,” said WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman.
