Magsayo wins by split decision

UNDEFEATED Mark Magsayo won over Mexican tough guy Rigoberto Hermosillo by a split decision in a scheduled 10-round bout at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles this morning (Manila time).

It was a tough fight as both fighters fought toe to toe. But Magsayo proved to be tougher as he threw more punches than Hermosillo. The 25-year old Magsayo of Tagbilaran City now has 21 wins with 14 knockouts while Hermosillo suffered his 4th loss against his 11 wins and one draw, Magsayo previously decisioned Panya Uthok of Thailand to win the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council featherweight title last Aug. 31, 2019, in Tagbilaran.
