WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu (27-2, 24 knockouts), from the Democratic Republic of Congo, will defend his crown on December 19 against the Nigerian Olanrewaju Durodola, in Kinshasa, Republic of Congo.
Makabu is coming off being crowned world champion on January 31 by defeating previously undefeated Pole Michal Cieslak in a great bout for the vacant world title.
For his part, Durodola, is a tough fighter who has faced quality rivals in his career. He has just defeated Olarewaju Segundo last October to win the African Boxing Association (ABU) cruiserweight title.
