MAKING HIS MARK! PROFILE OF JC X 2

Julio Cesar Chavez Carrasco, was born in Culiacan on February 16, 1986, imbued with a rich  heritage in the noble art.
He made his pro debut on September 26th 2003, defeating Jonathan Hernandez by unanimous decision.

With a perfect record, Julio Jr took a short break and then teamed up with  the most accomplished trainer in the business Freddie Roach. With Freddie`s guidance, Julio was ready to  conquer the WBC silver belt by defeating Irish, John Duddy. And in his next match he won against American Billy Lyell by UD in 10 rounds.

On June 4th, 2011, in Los Angeles, California, JC Chavez Jr became the WBC middleweight champion  by defeating Germany`s  Sebastian Zbik on points.

He defended his belt by defeating Peter Manfredo Jr., Marco Antonio Rubio and Andy Lee.

However, in  the 4th defense of his crown in 2012, Julio clashed with Argentinian Sergio Martinez, who defeated him at the Thomas & Mac Center.

Julio Jr has a record of 50 victories, 32 KO´s , 2 defeats and 1 draw.
