This weekend in Brussels, Belgium, undefeated Malik Zinad (18-0-0, 16 Ko’s) of Libya, defeated Montenegrin Almir Skrijelj (13-3-0, 8 Ko’s), to win the vacant Mediterranean light heavyweight title from the World Boxing Council.
The match started with both fighters being very active, but Zinad showed his best boxing skills and superiority. The outcome of the fight came 57 seconds of the third round with a TKO.
Malik is very popular in Libya, as he is one of the great promises of boxing in that country.
The supervisor of this fight was the Vice President of the WBC and President of the ABU, Houcine Houichi, from Tunisia.
