Following the success of their 18,000-seat show in Krakow last December, KSW announced plans to host a stadium show expected to rival the UFC’s shows in Toronto and Sweden in terms of capacity.

According to an official press release from the promotion, the event will be headlined by KSW superstar Mamed Khalidov in a catchweight bout against welterweight champion Borys Mańkowski, the return of Mariusz Pudianowski, as well as the MMA debut of Polish wrestling Olympic medalist Damian Janikowski.

Prior to his May match-up in Poland, Khalidov is scheduled to meet Luke Barnatt in the headlining bout of the ACB 54 fight card in Manchester. The 36-year-old middleweight champion holds finishes over Matt Lindland, Jesse Taylor, Rodney Wallace, Kendal Grove, Melvin Manhoef and former KSW champion Michał Materla. His opponent, 27-year-old Mańkowski, reigns as the top welterweight in Poland and even submitted Khalidov’s cousin Aslambek Saidov back in 2014. He most recently defeated UFC veteran john Maguire to retain his title.

Dubbed ‘KSW Coliseum,’ a minimum of 60,000 seats will be made available for the show, though KSW is yet to establish the capacity for the show.

Warsaw’s National Stadium is the biggest arena in Eastern Europe, the home stadium of the Polish national football team and the host of various music concerts and sporting events. Selling out this massive stadium would mean KSW will have to sell a minimum of 40,000 more tickets than their second biggest show.
