Mancito to fight Jengo in Tazmania

Orthodox Eduardo “The Nightmare” Mancito of Jose Abad Santos, Davao del Sur will fight lightweight Salimu Jengo of Tazmania on Nov. 28 at Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania.

The 28-year old Mancito (18W-10L-2D, 9KO) had two wins in 2019. He first had a technical decision against Jeson Berwela of Camarines Sur in the 5th round last Aug. 3 in Mandaluyong City.

Mancito then scored a unanimous decision to Michael Escobia of Paranaque last Oct. 27, 2019 at the Quibors Boxing Gym in Bacoor.

Jengo, on the other hand, lost in three separate title fights since 2017.

He first bowed to Ibrahim Balla of Australia by a unanimous decision for the vacant World Boxing Association Oceania featherweight title at the Function Centre in Melbourne Park, Australia in 2017.

Jengo was later stopped by Xolisani Ndongeni of South Africa by a TKO in the 5th round for the World Boxing Federation World Light Title last Aug. 11, 2018 at the Orlando YMCA in Soweto, South Africa.

At lastly, Jengo lost to Ju Wu of China by a unanimous decision for the vacant World Boxing Organisation Asia Pacific Youth Lightweight title last Dec. 11, 2018 at the Wansheng Binjiang Rd Venue in Chongqing, China.

Mancito will be accompanied by Coach Alan Alegria and super welterweight Arnel Tinampay of Bohol, who will also fight Idd Pialari of Tazmania.

They are waiting for their tickets next week according to their Matchmaker Brico Santig of the Highland Boxing Promotion.
