FORMER LuzProBA flyweight champion Geboi Mansalayao (12-25-5, 6 KOs) of the Philippines is facing WBC International Silver light flyweight champion Tibo Monabesa (15-0-2) in a non-title bout on Sept. 30 at The Breeze n Tangerang Selatan, Indonesia.
Mansalayao of Highland Boxing Gym is coming from back-to-back wins both by TKOs against former WBO Oriental minimumweight champion Rommel “Little Assassin” Asenjo (31-7-0, 23 KOs) and former WBC Asian Boxing Council minimumweight champion Roilo “The Phoenix” Golez (16-19-1, 7 KOs) held early this year.
Monabesa, 27, previously settled a technical draw with another Filipino Arnold Garde when he defended his title last May 20 in Jakarta.
Monabesa won the vacant title via a unanimous decision against Rene Patilano, also a Filipino last January 21 at the Cendrawasih Sports Hall in Jakarta.
He is a former Indonesia Boxing Association and Indonesia Professional Boxing Commission light flyweight champion.
