Marcial wins in his pro debut

Middleweight Eumir Felix Marcial of Zamboanga City badly damaged the face of Andrew Whitfield of the USA to win by a unanimous decision last Dec. 16 at Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles.

It was a clear victory by 25-year-old Marcial, who made his first victory in the professional division.

Marcial has 67 wins and 17 losses in the amateur boxing tournament.

In his last outing as an amateur, Marcial won by a split decision against Abilkhan Amankul of Kazakhstan during the 2020 Olympic Qualifying Tournament – Asia/Oceania finals last March 11 at Prince Hamza Hall in Amman.

Whitfield, 29, on the other hand, suffered his second defeat against three wins.
