Former IBF welterweight world champion Antonio “The Tijuana Tornado” Margarito (39-8, 27 KOs) faced off with Canelo’s older brother Ramon “Inocente” Álvarez (23-4-2, 15 KOs) at the final press conference for Saturday’s clash at the Centro de Convenciones in Rosarito, Baja California.

Ramon Alvarez: Margarito is a warrior, I am also. I have no doubt of my triumph and it doesn’t scare me to fight in the house of Margarito. I also have my fans here who will support me.

Antonio Margarito: As always, I prepared 100%. I’m feeling very well, I hope Alvarez is too. I will give everything second by second and I’m going to win. I don’t see how I can lose and after this we’ll go for the world title.
