MARIANA “BARBY” JUAREZ BELTED GREEN AND GOLD

New WBC female bantamweight champion Mariana “Barbie” Juárez visited the WBC weekly conference to be presented  with the championship  belt she  won on April 1st in Mexico City’s Zocalo against Zambia’s Catherine Phiri.

Mariana received the belt, as the absolute monarch of the division in an emotional ceremony, punctuated by a thunderous round of applause.

For Mariana this is her second World Boxing Council  crown, as she is a former flyweight champion.

With the new belt in her hands, Mariana promised to defend the crown against the best of the division…the cream of the crop.

She’s already in talks, for a fight against Jackie Nava, whom she considers one of the best fighters of the division.
