In a heated press conference Jorge “Maromerito” Paez said his only option is to win.

“Maromerito” Paez (39-8-2, 23 KOs) will face Johnny “Vaquero” Navarrete (32-8-1, 15 KOs) in the ten round super welterweight main event.

Paez wants to close the year with a victory and return to the path that will lead to a world title contest. Paez’ last bout was held last March at the Arena Mexico City when he faced former world champion super welterweight Antonio “Tornado” Margarito where he lost a decision on points. Before he had faced the prospect Jorge “Chema” Ocampo losing a decision in ten rounds.

“Maromerito” will not have an easy night in Los Mochis, Sinaloa when he will face “Vaquero” Navarrete, who last July defeated “Juanito” Montiel.

“I trained like never before. I know that Navarrete is a motivated opponent and very hard, but on Saturday I have only one option… win. I trust my talent and preparation and in 2017 look for a world title.” expressed Paez.
