Marsellos Wilder, the 29-year-old younger brother of WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, will enter the crucible of battle tonight as he makes his professional debut in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. For those who may not remember Marsellos, he was the loudmouth getting into it with Tony Bellew last year.

The younger Wilder knows that he has pressure to fulfill live up to the reputation that his brother has built as a knockout star, but tells WBN that he’s not letting any of that get to him.

“In my position, there’s always going to be a little pressure thrown at me because fans want to see me knock people out like my brother does. But I don’t allow pressure to bother me much. I’m kind of use to it now. I’m going to just do me.

”There’s no nerves really, more of excitement to actually live out this moment and be able to be a professional boxer. It’s a vision I saw three years ago and here it is.”

Wilder plans to make his home at cruiserweight and believes the division will soon be wide open for the taking.
