Matt Brown isn’t giving up on a duel with Carlos Condit.

MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani reported Monday that “The Immortal” suffered a knee injurythat would force him to withdraw from his welterweight encounter versus Condit in the co-main event of UFC on FOX 29 in Glendale, Ariz., on April 14.

Brown took to Instagram later in the evening to confirm the injury and express his interest in being booked opposite Condit again.

Brown added “third time is a charm” to the post, a reference to the fact that UFC on FOX 29 was actually the second scheduled booking of his matchup with Condit. The two were previously announced to fight at UFC on FOX 9 back in December 2013, but that meeting was canceled due to a back injury to Brown.

The promotion is seeking a replacement opponent to keep Condit on the April 14 card.
