Argentine Lucas Matthysse won the WBA-Intercontinental welterweight title when he defeated Emmanuel Taylor by TKO 5.
After being away from the ring for more than two years “the machine”, as the South American is known, returned to the ring last Saturday in Las Vegas, Nevada in great shape. There was no doubt of his domain on the ring and kept his opponent in bad condition.
Matthysse’s attack hurt Taylor in the third round, when he went to the canvas for the first time and repeated the doses in the fifth. However, he did not have chance to do anything else as the referee stopped the fight and call Matthysse the winner.
The Argentine improved his record to 38-4, 35 ko’s.
