The Max Factor, as undefeated super-lightweight Sam Maxwell, conquered the British and Commonwealth titles, defeating Akeem Ennis-Brown via points, in the main event on a card organized by Queensberry Promotions at the Birmingham Arena in the West Midlands, UK.
The Judges declared Maxwell’s victory with scorecards of 116-113, 116-113, and 115-114. With this result, he improved his record to 16-0, 11 knockouts, while Ennis-Brown fell to 14-1, 1 knockout.
“I feel like I’m dreaming,” Maxwell said. “I haven’t fought in front of a crowd for about two years and have dreamed of this success since I was a kid.”
Ennis-Brown came in as the defending champion. he won by beating Philip Bowes 11 months ago.
