IBF Australasia featherweight champion Nathaniel May of Australia will be defending his crown against Filipino challenger Ciso “Kid Terrible” Morales on August 26 at the WA Italian Club in Perth, Western Australia.
It will be May’s first title defence of the vacant crown he won via a 3rd round technical knockout against Paiboon Lorkam (16-7-0) last May 7 at the WA Italian Club.
The 21-year old May is also a former WBA Oceania featherweight and WBO Asia Pacific Youth featherweight champion.
May captured the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth featherweight title via a UD win over Lloyd Jardeliza last May 8, 2015 at the WA Italian Club.
He also took the WBA Oceania featherweight title by a UD win over Agus Kustiawan last August 1, 2015 at Eaton Recreation Centre.
May now has a record of 14 wins with seven knockouts against only one loss and no draw while the 28-year old Morales is toting 18W-3L-1D-11 Kos record.
Morales, a native of Danao City, previously stopped Elmar Francisco in the third round last July 19, 2015 in Iligan City.
Morales is a former WBO Oriental super bantamweight and WBO Asia Pacific Youth super bantamweight titles holder. Morales made three successful title-defences of his WBO Oriental featherweight crown against Yoo-Shin Kim (TKO), Narongnoi Or Muangklang (UD) and Pichitchoke Rodkaew (UD).
Morales fought but lost for the WBO World bantamweight title by a unanimous decision to Fernando Montiel last February 13, 2010 at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
He also lost by a 3rd round knockout to Rogelio Jun Doliguez in their battle for the vacant WBO Oriental featherweight title last October 13, 2012 in Batangas City.
