MB NORTHSTAR TO PROMOTE BOXING IN KADAYAWAN FESTIVAL AUG. 20

THE MB Northstar Boxing Promotions will be staging a boxing event during the Kadayawan Festival in Davao City on August 20 at the Magsaysay Park.
This was announced by promoter Jilson Basang, president of the Mindanao Professional Boxing Association (Minproba).
Among those seeing action are current Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) lightweight champion Rosekie “Kapre” Cristobal (13W-2L-0D, 10 KOs), light flyweight Michael “Chieftain” Bravo (11w-1L-0D, 4 KOs) and former Minproba bantamweight champion Glenn “The Rock” Porras.
“All of them are under the MB Northstar Boxing Promotions,” said Basang.
Cristobal previously won the PBF lightweight crown by stopping Alvin Makiling via a 6th round technical knockout last May 12 at the Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao City.
Bravo, on the other hand, won his last outing by stopping Ian Ligutan via a 3rd round TKO last Dec. 17 at the Robinson’s Place in General Santos City.
Porras, 31, previously dropped a unanimous decision to Ben Manangquil in their battle for the vacant WBF International bantamweight title last February 26 at Lagao Gym.
