With the teasing “Right Charlie” good humor which defines and characterizes him, former WBC super flyweight champion Carlos Cuadras, breezed a tad late into the WBC weekly conference to chat about his commitment against Juan Francisco Estrada better known as the “Gallo”.
Carlos, who’s preparing at the high altitude Otomí Ceremonial Center, predicts…nay…guarantees he’ll triumph on September 9, because he fully trusts in the rugged physical preparation he’s undergoing to climb back to on top of the World. At this point, he commented that Alejandro Barrera joins his team.
“Francisco is a very intelligent fighter, throwing lots of punches, the most dangerous of which is a powerful hook to the liver. For this very reason I’ve worked hard to improve my defence We do not want to give him any advantage at short range.”
The former champion has the clear objective of recovering the world title, which right now in the hands of southpaw Thai Srisaket Sor Rungvisai who will be topping the same card in a rematch bout vs. Nicaraguan Roman González.
Carlos, who’s hardly what the doctored ordered, prescribed a generous dose of bitter medicine for “Gallo” via his flapping right hand.
