Two-time Bellator title challenger Melvin Manhoef is sticking around with the promotion.
Officials confirmed with MMA Fighting that Manhoef has signed a multi-fight deal to remain in Bellator. The news was first reported by Sherdog.com.
Manhoef, 41, has been competing in combat sports for over 20 years, compiling nearly 100 professional bouts in kickboxing and MMA. He has been fighting for Bellator since September 2014, going 2-3 with one no-contest, including a two-fight series with current middleweight champion Rafael Carvalho.
The two fought to a split decision at Bellator 155 with Carvalho retaining, before running it back a year later at Bellator 176 on April 8, 2017. Carvalho also won that second meeting, this time by fourth-round KO.
Manhoef has fought for several major promotions, including Bellator, ONE Championship, Dream, Strikeforce, and K-1. His pro MMA record stands at 30-14-1 (1 NC) with 28 of those wins coming by way of knockout.
