Puerto Rican WBO Minimumweight World Champion Wilfredo Méndez and Colombian challenger WBO # 15 Gabriel Mendoza successfuly made weight for their title battle tomorrow at the Hotel El Panama in Panama City, Panama.
Méndez (15-1, 5 KO’s), who defends his belt for a second time, weighed in at 104.75 pounds while the veteran Mendoza (30-6-2, 23 KO’s) tipped the scale at 105 lbs.
The Puerto Rican comes from defending belt last October with technical decision victory over Mexican Axel Aragón.
Mendez claimed his WBO minimumweight world title by decisioning Filipino Vic Saludar in August of last year.
