Mercado trained solidly for six weeks in Tijuana, where all the details of her physical and strength preparation were taken care of, Raúl Robles.
The technical part was under the supervision of Miguel Reyes and Mario Mendoza, who focused upon speed, punch frequency plus distance.

“I am very happy with the training camp we had in Tijuana, I am in excellent shape, very animated, and very motivated to face this important fight and we are going to reach 100% in all aspects,” said Yamileth.

The WBC Super Bantamweight World Champion is aware of her magnitude of the challenge, but she is confident that she has the style, strength, and motivation to defeat the Puerto Rican boxer.
