World Boxing Council Diamond champion, Jorge Linares (43-3, 27 KOs), will make his second consecutive presentation at the Forum in Inglewood, California, on January 27th, fighting Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta (31-1-2, 17 knockouts).
“I`ve travelled far and wide, all over the world to win and to defend my titles, and I’m looking forward to keep winning in the United States,” said Jorge Linares, who`s recently defeated Anthony “Million Dollar “Crolla, Kevin” Mighty “Mitchell and Luke Campbell.
“I know that Gesta has speed and power, but he has not been at this level before, and on January 27 he will realize just what it`s like, to face a true world champion.”
Gesta, the 30-year-old Filipino fighter, who has won his last six bouts, defeating a strong line up including: Gilberto “Flaco” González and top contender Martín “Brushes” Honorio.
