World Boxing Council lightweight champion Mikey García defends his belt against former four divisions champion of the world Adrien Broner on July 29th. at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Broner’s most recent fight was in his hometown of Cincinnati against Adrian Granados on February 18, and he had some problems with weight.
Broner commented: “I will work hard to not have any of these problems. There will be no advantage or disadvantage. This is the best against the best in boxing and weight will not be a problem. It’s the next step in my career and I’ll try to do everything right.”
Conversely Mickey commented: “One hundred and forty pounds is an ideal weight for me, I feel excellent between 135lbs and 140lbs.”
