DAVAO CITY — Southpaw Rimar “Terminator” Metuda of Cagayan de Oro City downed veteran Eden Sonsona of Gen. Santos City in the 3rd round last March 17 at the Sanman Gym in Gen. Santos City.

Metuda used a left-right combination in 1 minute and 44 seconds of the 3rd round to score his 15 wins against six losses.

Sonsona started strong with several body shots in the first two rounds. But the 26-year-old Metuda answer back with his own body shots to fall Sonsona for good.

Sonsona, now 32, never stand up again as a sign of surrender and got his 13 loss against 36 wins.

He suffered his 7th straight loss after he falls to Evgeny Chuprakov of Russia by a TKO for the WBO Inter-Continental super featherweight title in 2017.

Meanwhile, super featherweight John Vincent “Mulawin” Moralde of Davao City scored a unanimous decision over Kim Lindog of Bukidnon in the undercard.

The bubble boxing event was promoted by Sanman.
