A politician with true clout, Federal Deputy Jackie Java Mouett, who`s just conquered the WBC International Super Bantamweight Championship in Cuautitlán Izcalli, State of Mexico, was lauded and praised during a plenary session, by fellow politicos.
President of the Chamber of Deputies, Javier Bolaños Aguilar, led the recognition of Jackie, a trail blazing pioneer of women`s boxing…the first ever female Champion of the World Boxing Council.
“Without a doubt, this championship is a result of constancy, discipline, commitment and the sheer willpower of our fellow member. We hope that her performance in this place will be reflected in favor of Mexican sport.”
Jackie Nava, better known as “Aztec Princess”, returned to the ring on February 4 at the Pablo Colín Gymnasium in the municipality of Cuatitlán Izcalli against Venezuelan Ana María “Manal” Lozano, whom she defeated by unanimous decision.
Jackie herself confirms that even after two years of absence in the ring, she remains one of Mexico`s most enthusiastic and dedicated fighters!
