MIGUEL BERCHELT- HEALING HAND ALOFT!

Accompanied by promoter Fernando Beltrán and his manager Mario Abraham, WBC super featherweight  champion Miguel Berchelt, triumphantly came along to the WBC weekly conferences, at Plaza Garibald, right in the heart of Mexico City.

Nursing a minor and healing injury to  his right hand,  the champ was blunt in saying that he`s  silenced some Doubting Thomas critics,  with resounding victories over  Francisco Vargas and Takashi Miura.  Many thought he`d be the runner up or run over,  but on both occasions he amply demonstrated his calibre.

“I think I proved many things because I’m the best in the division. I faced two powerful fighters and I beat them easily. Miura was a dangerous rival, but I did not feel his punch. I could have knocked him out , but the hand injury hampered me.. I need a bit of time to recover from this minor injury, but I assure you that I will defend my Green and Gold Belt against the very best.

Fernando Beltrán says Berchelt is a true pride for Mexico and an inspiration for those who wish to become champions of the world. And that it is an honor for them to represent the WBC, the most important body of the sport.

Viz the plans ahead, Fernando Beltrán expressed his desire and enthusiasm for Miguel to fight Mexicans who`ve already  proved their worth.  That honor rolls includes: Jhonny González and Cristian Mijares, because the fights between Aztecs are always guaranteed spectaculars of power, pride and dig deep passion.

However, he clarified that he does not want to rush, since for now the most important thing  Miguel `s rest and recuperation.  Following his  mandatory fight defeating Miura, “Alacrán” has a year in which to fight several voluntaries.
