Via tele- conference with the WBC super featherweight champion Miguel “Alacran” Berchelt, commented that he is ready and fighting fit to defend  his  crown for the first time against formidable former champion,  Takashi Miura, this Saturday in Los Angeles , California.

Aware of the very real power of the intrepid Japanese Samurai, Berchelt concedes it won’t be an easy fight, recognizing that Miura is an extremely determined  fighter with a lot of  punching  power in his  fists.  However, Miguel assured that he`s honed  his defense and will put his  power combinations together in cascading clusters.

“It`s taken me a lot of work to get to this point. Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming a champion, and now that I have the green and gold crown in my hands, I won`t let it go that easy.” He tersely remarked,

The President of the WBC, Mauricio Sulaimán, thanked the champion in a very special way as since he won the belt  he has shown at all times the pride he feels in wearing the colors of the most prestigious and largest  boxing body.

At this point Berchelt promised to get the victory and in style!
