Three-time former world champion Cristian “Diamante” Mijares (56-8-2, 26 KOs) scored a hard fought and bloody ten round unanimous decision over former world champion Tomás “Gusano” Rojas (48-14-1, 32 KOs) in a crossroads featherweight showdown on Saturday night at the international Oasis Arena in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Scores were 96-93, 96-94 and 95-94. Rojas was deducted a point after a head clash in round ten. WBC #4 rated Mijares previously defeated Rojas on points in 2004.
