British middleweight, Mike Shipman, will look to make it four wins in as many outings under the Bellator banner when he faces Scott Futrell at Bellator 210 on Nov. 30 in Oklahoma.
Bellator confirmed the fight to MMA Fighting, indicating that the middleweight tussle will feature on the event’s preliminary card.
Shipman (12-1-0) is a former BAMMA champion. After two first-round wins in as many outings with Bellator, “Seabass” was officially signed by the promotion in March, a few months ahead of its mass signings across the U.K. and Ireland. It took Shipman just 10 seconds to get rid of Carl Noonin his last outing at Bellator 200. Noon was returning to action for the first time in nearly seven years.
Futrell (10-6-0) will make his promotional debut under the Bellator banner on the night. He is currently on a two-fight winning streak. He stopped Nolan Norwood with a second-round rear-naked choke at 360 Fight Club 8 last month after stopping Dakota Cochrane via the same method at DCS 45 in August.
