MINPROBA REASSURES SUPPORT TO GAB

THE Mindanao Professional Boxing Association (Minproba) has reassured its support and commitment to the current administration of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) headed by Chairman Abraham Kahlil “Baham” Mitra.
Minproba president Engr. Jilson Basang assured this to Mitra when they met at the GAB Davao Office last Thursday.
Basang , who is residing in Panabo City thanked Mitra for waiting at the GAB office.
“You are a very good man of honor and word. I salute and admire you. You are such a good example of a good leadership,” said Basang.
“Expect my all out support as what our family in Bohol has been doing in the past to your late Father Sir Monching,” said Basang, who also plans to visit Mitra at his office in Makati.
Mitra’s father Ramon Mitra Jr. was a statesman, diplomat, pro-democracy activist and former Speaker of the House.
Under Mitra’s administration, the GAB has already done a lot to help improve the professional sports including boxing in the Philippines.
Mitra, a former governor and congressman of Palawan is now also the president of the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) and is a member of the Board of Governors of the World Boxing Council (WBC).
MinProba is now also composed of Leonil Lazarito of Valencia City, Wowie Lalanto and Rey Marban of Cagayan de Oro City, Arnold Palafox and Raffy Jimenez of Iligan, Joseph Delopere of Agusan del Sur, Raides and Vanessa Neri of Davao City, JC Manangquil, Sannie Sombrio and Art Advincula of General Santos City, Joay Lopez and Jolly Lopez of Surigao, Charito Pama of Agusan del Sur, Roy Kaamino and Reginald de Leon of Bukidnon.
