World Boxing Organization World female super flyweight champion Miyo Yoshida of Tokyo will defend her title against Tomoko Okuda of Osaka on Dec. 13 at EDION Arena in Osaka, Japan.
It will be Miyo’s second title defense of the crown she won from the vacant title of US’ Casey Morton last June 19 via a unanimous decision in Makuhari Messe, Chiba City.
She won by a unanimous decision against Li Ping Shi of China in her first title defense last Dec. 31 at Ota-City General Gymnasium in Japan.
The 32-year old Miyo has 14 wins against one loss while Tomoko, 37 has six wins with one knockout against two-loss and two draws.
Tomoko earned the vacant OPBF female bantamweight title and vacant Japanese female bantamweight title by beating Kanako Tahiyama in a technical decision in the 7th round last Jan. 1, 2020, at Korakue Hall.
It was a rematch between Tomoko and Kanako. They first had a majority draw last Sept. 16, 2019, at Ohama Gym in Sakai,
Meanwhile, light flyweight Yuga Inoue will clash with Daiki Tonita in the undercard.
It is being promoted by Masato Yamashita of Shinsei Promotions.
