The MMA Depressed-Us: Lawler vs. Sobral

The UFC is out this week, and pretty much every other major MMA promotion has taken advantage of the pause in the schedule to… not run events? Either way, we’ve got some free time on our hands, which means it’s time to watch more MMA! But, not just any MMA, bad MMA.

That was the idea anyway, but we actually sorta failed, with three decent fights. Starting out with a quality “good/bad” bout between Scott Ferrozzo and Tank Abbott at UFC 11, then moving to a much better than remembered “bad/bad” fight between Mirko CroCop and Roy Nelson atUFC 137. And then a fight we were sure would be disappointing, but was actually fun, betweenRobbie Lawler and Babalu Sobral at Strikeforce: Los Angeles.
