Former youth champion Moises Fuentes will challenge undefeated formidable World Boxing Council flyweight champion Daigo Higa (14-0-0, 14 knockouts), on February 4th in Japan.
“We are training very hard. After my last fight with ‘Ratoncito’ Lara, we rested a couple of weeks, and then back to the gym. We are going to prepare very well, in order to offer a great fight and bring the green and gold belt to Mexico!” pledged Fuentes.
The Mexican said that along with his coach, Alejandro “Pollo” Galindo, he is formulating a smart plan to neutralize the Japanese power puncher.
“Daigo is a strong boxer. We know him and his record speaks for itself. He has real power, but I`m convinced that we have a great chance to win, so we’re very motivated.
“I was WBC World Youth Champion, and I am flattered, happy, and honored to fight for the World Boxing Council belt. The all important green and gold title is at stake. This fight is dedicated to all those who have always supported me and I want to give special thanks to WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán.”
