By WBCboxing.com

Former champion Moises Fuentes, who`s record (25-4-1, 14KO`s) makes a good “Reed,” is preparing for the greatest challenge of his career, against formidable undefeated WBC flyweight  champ Japanese Daigo Higa (14-0-0, 14 knockouts), on February 4th in Japan.

“We are training so hard for this fight,  to bring the WBC green and gold  belt back to Mexico,” pledges Fuentes.  Along with his trainer, Alejandro “Pollo” Galindo, Moises has devised a strategy aimed at denting the up to now perfect record of the dangerous Japanese power puncher.

“Daigo is a fine boxer. We also know that he is a very powerful  puncher. But the beauty of Boxing is that we all have chances to win. So I`ll arrive in the greatest physical condition.

“I was the WBC youth world champion. It’s therefore an honor for me to fight for the absolute World Boxing Council belt. The Green and Gold title is a dream and career culmination wish of all boxers. I dedicate this  fight  to all those who have always supported me. I especially thank Mauricio Sulaiman, President of the WBC, for supporting me in this fantastic opportunity.”
