MOLONEY TO DEFEND WBA OCEANIA TITLE AUG. 19

REIGNING WBA Oceania super bantamweight champion Jason Moloney of Australia will defend his title against current WBF International super flyweight champion Lolito “Thunder Shot” Sonsona of General Santos City on August 19 Melbourne Park Function Centre in Victoria Australia.
They will also be fighting for the vacant OPBF Silver super bantamweight title.
Moloney (13-0, 11 KOs) is making his 5th title defense of the vacant crown he won via a 5th round retirement on Markquil Salvana of Gensan in 2015. He has defended it successfully against two Mexicans, an Indonesian and one Filipino challenger Gerpaul Valero last October 2016.
Sonsona previously won by a unanimous decision against Renren Tesorio last February 26 to capture the vacant WBF Intenational super flyweight crown last February 26 in Lagao Gym, Gensan.
