Jason Moloney (22-2, 18 KOs) claimed a unanimous decision to win over Joshua Greer Jr. (22-3-2, 12 KOs) to win the World Boxing Council Silver Bantamweight title on a Top Rank card at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Just over nine months after losing to Japan’s Naoya Inoue, Australia’s Moloney re-entered the world title scene, bouncing back with a comprehensive decision over Chicago`s Greer.
Moloney, a two-time world title contender, warmed up after a slow start and caught Greer with his crisp counter-punching plus precise attacks to his body. Now the WBC Silver Champion is looking for a shot at a third-world title.
